14 June 2015

The Soul Ladies lost 39-44 to the Camden Panthers in an off-season friendly. The game started off well for the Soul Ladies, edging to a 11-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, on the back of aggressive inside play by Rebecca Cox. Soul continued their tough play and ended the half with a three point 27-24 lead. However, Soul struggled to find offensive output in the pivotal third quarter, and the momentum swung to the Panthers who led 33-31 at the end of the third quarter. This continued in the fourth quarter, and the Panthers scored eight unanswered points to pull away and effectively put the game out of contention. Two late three pointers by top scorer (13 points) Lucy Martinez Sabri helped Soul salvage some pride in a hard-fought game.
