Soul Men team huddle

Soul Men’s Summer League 2015

The LABL (London Amateur Basketball League) is running a Summer League as they do every year. After a good response from the players playing in the regular season we are looking to put together a team to enter this summer. The start date is 27 June 2015 with the final being played on 8 August 2015. There will be two pools made up of five teams and we would play each team in our pool once and play one team in the opposite pool also once. 2015 NBA Finals Game 6

Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors! The team played a great game, played good team basketball. Hats off to the Cavaliers who put up a strong challenge despite a depleted team. It still goes to show that basketball is a TEAM sport, and we are minded to learn from that.

2015 NBA Finals Game 5

Golden State seized a 3-2 lead in the 2015 NBA Finals. Stephen Curry found his shot, and LeBron… well LeBron did what LeBron normally does and more. However, without much backing from his teammates and the team letting in 31 points in the fourth quarter, this was Golden State’s game. Tactically, kudos to both coaches for just picking the top five players in each team (ignoring the starting line-up), despite their positions, and letting them run with the game. The final score probably flattered the Warriors slightly given that the Cavs, despite all odds, are still trying to challenge. But...

2015 NBA Finals Game 4

Steve Kerr turned up the tactics, and played great chess moves that the Warriors players executed to level the Final Series 2-2. From midway through the first quarter, it was apparent that this would be the Warriors’ night. They were hungry for the win and they never looked back. They controlled the tempo and played at their pace. It’s now a three game series and it’ll be interesting to see what the Cavs can come up with now. Away from the on court action, this game will be remembered for #lies, #stitches and #flashing! Bring on game 5.
