We have three great fixtures lined up for you this week. Soul Women (Love) play tomorrow (Wed) at the Regal (8pm), Soul Men have their first Cup game on Saturday at Bow School (11:45am), and Soul Women (MET) have a home game on Sunday (11:15am). We are excited to announce a second women’s team joining the Love Basketball League and are looking forward to their debut and progress this season. The first games for all our three teams are this week. Soul Women (Love Basketball) vs Ladybugs on Wednesday 11 October at The Regal Court, 20:00 tip off. Soul Women start their MET league season in their new Home court, Burlington Danes Academy vs London Thunder on Sunday 15 October, 11:15 tip off. The 2015-2016 season has gone by far too quickly. The Ladies finished third in their inaugural season in the Met League. The Men finished runners-up in the LABL Cup. And Soul has just celebrated its 5th Anniversary. All this and more were celebrated at the Soul Team Awards 2015-2016.
The Soul competitive teams had a mixed weekend in their first competitive basketball games for the 2015-2016 season. Soul Ladies made an impressive debut in Division 1 of the London Metropolitan Basketball League, defeating Brixton Lady Topcats 53-36. Soul Men lost a tight 66-71 game against Stratford Royals in the LABL Division 1. Both teams showed solid platforms on which to build memorable seasons. Thanks to all our supporters!
